Wartime thriller starring Clive Brook as an anti-Nazi Austrian doctor who sets up a secret radio transmitter for Allied propaganda during World War Two. With Diana Wynyard.
Since eight people worked on the script of this wartime morale-booster, it's surprising it turned out so well. But it's gripping, strongly cast and more subtle than most propaganda thrillers of its time. Clive Brook is convincing as the anti-Nazi Austrian doctor who founds the radio of the title, there's an early chance for Derek Farr as his comrade, and film buffs may spot Katie Johnson, later to win fame in The Ladykillers but here, 13 years earlier, already in granny roles!
