Review

Matthew Rhys, a rising star of British cinema, made his screen debut in this Welsh-language film (the title translates as Be Brave) that accurately captures the parochial atmosphere of the small Welsh valley town whose young adults battle both to make sense of their sexuality and to stand up and be counted, as the entire populace faces a battle to save the local Town Hall, the focus of local life, from being destroyed by developers.
