A confused peacock is causing a stir at the local petrol station with repeated attempts to mate with pumps he has mistaken for a peahen.
Every morning Mr P trots one mile down the road to woo the petrol pumps.
Peacock took a shine to the pumps
He spends his days displaying, strutting and calling to them at a service station in Brierly in the Forest of Dean.
Each time someone fills up for petrol they make a noise similar to that of an amorous peahen - driving Mr P wild.
"As soon as he hears it, he starts displaying his tail feathers and getting very excited" said his owner Shirley Horsman.
"He's a bit frustrated because there are no peahens around for him to breed with".
Sadly Mr P's live-in peahens were eaten by a fox last year which is when his bizarre behaviour began.
