Britney Spears is already at loggerheads with her future in-laws.     

Just days after announcing she is to wed Kevin Federline, the pop princess clashed with his mum over her motive for wanting to tie the knot with him.

Britney faced grilling from Kevin's mum

Britney,23, met Kevin's parents at their family home in California.    

His mum Collette decided to give Britney a grilling on why she had chosen her boy.     

A source is quoted by the Daily Mirror saying: "Collette asked her why she's chosen Kevin when she can have any man she wants.     

"She also wanted to know whether she's just after any old guy to drag down the aisle after her 55-hour sham wedding to Jason Alexander in January.     

"Collette's old-fashioned and she let britney know how she felt about Shar Jackson, the pregnant girlfriend Kevin left to be with Britney.     

"Britney looked hurt by the hostile reception, but Kevin was stroking her thigh and squeezing her hand and he answered a lot of the questions on her behalf."
