Ben Affleck has revealed how his break-up with Jennifer Lopez has put him off dating again in the near future.

He told a US magazine: "I'm not all that eager to be dating anyone. I just think it's not worth it."

The Gigli star said the couple had made a mistake in allowing their romance to be so public.

He said: "It's sad and strange what happened to our relationship.

"There wasn't one thing that precipitated the break-up, but you never realise how serious the problems are until it's too late to repair things."

The couple called off their lavish September wedding, blaming "media intrusion".

But Ben said it was probably their own fault, as they often attended premieres together.

The pair also invited a TV crew into their home, and Ben even appeared in J.Lo's Jenny From The Block video.
