Model and actress Caprice is to marry her 21-year-old lover Alex Davis, her agent has said.

Mr Davis, who is an American and son of a millionaire, works for the Chicago Board of Trade.

He proposed to the 28-year-old star at his house in California.

The pair met three years ago and started dating last November.

Caprice's manager Cassie Mead said: "I'm delighted to confirm that Caprice and Alex are engaged.

"This will come as a devastating blow to men across the world but there is always her 2004 calendar due out soon."

Caprice is currently filming her first movie - Hollywood Flies - with Vinnie Jones in Canada.

Caprice's mother, Valerie Bourret, told the News of the World: "To see my daughter this happy is all a mother could ask for.

"I welcome Alex into my family as the son I never had."
