Scooby star Sarah Michelle Gellar has fuelled rumours that she recently said "I do" to fiancé Freddie Prinze Jr in secret.

She has talked openly about her relationship and seems every bit head-over-heels in love with her Scooby-Doo co-star, only adding to speculation that the couple tied the knot in a Las Vegas chapel last month.

Whether or not the gossip holds any truth remains to be seen but the attention certainly will not do anything to harm the release of their new film, a remake of the 70's cartoon show.

Sarah said: "He's really the most romantic person. Everything has to be just so with him. I get flowers for no reason other than he's thinking about me.

'Luckiest man'

And Freddie admits: "I'm the luckiest man in the world to have met her."

The two became friends on the set of the 1997 teen-movie I Know What You Did Last Summer and started dating three years later.

The couple then got engaged in April last year and now share a £2m five-bedroom mansion in the Hollywood Hills.

But Freddie would rather not watch her on-set embraces. She said: "He doesn't watch my love scenes. Oddly enough, though, he liked my girl-on-girl scenes with Selma Blair in Cruel Intentions!"
