Hundreds of police went in to the school to try to find the suspect.

However, the search was called off when no-one was found.

The technical college, in Kreuzberg, central Berlin, has around 6,000 pupils aged 15-18.

All the pupils and teachers were accounted for.

The phone call alerting police was made from within the school just after 9am (8am BST).

The person who made the call is currently helping police with their enquiries.
