Ricky Martin was one of the biggest pop stars on Planet Showbiz in the late nineties with hits like Livin' La Vida Loca. But after disappointing sales of his last single, which saw the hip-swivelling one take on an ill-advised R'n'B persona, he's decided to go back to basics and has enlisted the help of his favorite diva, our very own Dido.

Ricky told my mole: "We're working on a track together which is going to be awesome. I love the way she writes, and it will touch the heart."

Ricky also let slip that, as they both share the same birthday - Christmas Day - it was destiny for them to come together... You old charmer.
