Orlando Bloom is planning his first stage role.

He may have swashed and buckled but the sexy Pirates star has yet to make it big in Hollywood after his movies Kingdom Of Heaven and Elizabethtown both tanked at the box office.

Now Orlando plans to re-establish his credentials by making his stage debut on the West End next year.

He told my mole: "It has to be a fun and yet challenging role that shows off my acting abilities."

We think he could recite the phone book and the theatre would be full.
