At the behest of fans, Manchester band The Doves have put in a request to sample Delia Smith's now infamous footie cry Let's Be 'Avin Ya. The chef made an impromptu performance at half-time at a Norwich v Man City game, calling for a twelfth man on the pitch.

The boys said: "We're not sure if she's a bit worried about her outburst; we've yet to get a reply from her office." I hear that they may get a sound-a-like to add the unique tones of La Smith, should she fail to give the lads the go-ahead. Come on, Let's Be 'Avin Ya, Delia!
