Hollywood wants a piece of national treasure Peter Kay.

US bosses want to Americanize the Yorkshire funnyman's shows - and repeat the success of the American version of The Office. A Lee Evans-style movie role has also been rumoured.

An insider told me: "Peter is flattered, but loves working here in the UK, and, more importantly, in Bolton.

"If they shifted Hollywood up here it would be a deal, but as yet a role to lure him out hasn't happened."
