Orlando Bloom as James Bond? Well, almost. This news will leave the girls shaken and stirred... as the Hollywood hunk is in serious talks about a series of films based on an idea by a new author about the early life of the world's most famous action hero James Bond.

Orlando said: "I love the idea, in principle, as he can be far more adventurous and do more stunts. This is as near as I think I will get to playing the grown up James for the next 20 years." There was a teen version in the early 90s which flopped but Orlando - himself in his early twenties thinks this is an ideal age to portray the famous agent.

The books will be out later in the year and so far we cannot tell you who the famous author is - as that too will leave you shaken and stirred.
