So maybe we didn't actually physically have lunch with George Clooney yesterday.

But we did both eat lunch yesterday, which is near enough to the real thing in our book.

While we chomped on home-made sarnies at our desks in rainy Brentford, George enjoyed delicacies of a more sophisticated kind in LA at the Academy Awards Luncheon.

For sure, it's not the ideal way to spend a meal with George - we'd much rather he took us to the Ivy for a candlelit affair instead.

But what's the harm in pretending we were his date for the afternoon? Especially, as he went along to the bash on his tod.
