Jim and Jen's Love Latest

We'd heard some crazy whispers that Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy were planning to elope.

But it seems that they were just that - crazy.

The pair, who recently 'went public' with news that they are an item, have laughed off reports that appeared in National Enquirer.

The magazine predicted that the couple were planning to elope in September, to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico.

Jim's rep said: "They are not engaged. It's a rumour." Jen's rep, for good measure, confirmed: "They are not engaged."

Jen, 33, split up from her from husband, director John Asher, in August 2005.

Jim, 44, has been married twice before - to waitress Melissa Womer and actress Lauren Holly.

The couple have remained tight-lipped over their relationship, but Jenny recently offered a little morsel of info:

"He's an amazing person and that's all I have to say. I'm very happy."

Jenny and Jim or Jim and Jenny - we just can't decide which sounds best.
