Colin: Bad Boy No More

He's always had a reputation as something of a hellraiser on the Hollywood scene.

But now Colin Farrell has revealed that his days of "burning the candle at both ends" are firmly behind him.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror about a stint in rehab for exhaustion and prescription painkiller addiction in December 2005, he said: "I have a new-found appreciation for my life."

And a lot of his motivation has come from being a dad to his son, James, two, the result of his relationship with ex-girlfriend Kim Bordenave.

He said: "Now I want to watch my son grow up, be his friend and his father, and hang around with him. So he's the greatest priority in my life."

On rehab, the Irish star said: "It just caught up with me. It was a long time coming but I had my arse handed to me on a plate. Now I haven't had a drink for six months."

Asked about reports that he's dating 27-year-old actress Lake Bell, Colin answered: "I don't have a better half or significant other... It's better for me, at 30, to be on my own."
