Sometimes it's more about what you don't say in a message.
And so it is with Nicole Kidman's statement about the birth of her ex-hubby's baby.
"I hope both mother and baby are doing well," she said through her publicist about Katie Holmes and her new baby, Suri.
No mention of Tom Cruise then.
But if Nicole wasn't gushing forth with congrats for her former husband of 10 years, the same can't be said for Tom's Collateral co-star, Jamie Foxx.
Reacting to news of an ickle Cruise down Santa Monica way, Jamie said of Tom:
"He's one of the nicest guys in the world and it's just great to see him win."
And Kirstie Alley, a Scientology friend of Tom's, also sent her congratulations:
"Tom does everything 150%, and fatherhood he does 300%. They're going to have a great kid."
But what about poor Katie? Perhaps by ignoring Tom, Nicole was just trying to focus on the real stars of the moment... mum and tot.
