Sharon Strips For The Girls

Sharon Stone is to strip off to show that older actresses can still play raunchy roles.

She's fed up with Hollywood typecasting middle-aged women in unsexy parts.

She hopes to change all that by baring all in her new movie Basic Instinct 2 as Catherine Tramell.

She said: "By the time the film is released, I will be 48 and I wanted to do the nudity in a way that's quite brazen.

"I wanted her to be very masculine, like a man in a steam room and I wanted the audience to have a moment where they realise she's naked and then realise that she's a forty-something woman and naked.

"Because we're not used to seeing that in movies.

"We're used to seeing Sean Connery and his granddaughter, you know what I mean? Or Mel Gibson and his daughter."

The sequel is set to be steamier than the first film - need we remind you of that infamous knickerless flashing incident - and at one point Sharon was less confident about flashing the flesh again.

The Sun previously reported that she planned to use body doubles for some of the scenes because she said: "Time has taken it toll in some departments."
