Ah Celebrity Big Brother - you made a miserable, grey January so much more bearable.
Heaving a little sob as it all ends, we take a look at those all-important final results...
Chantelle - the only non-celeb in the Celebrity Big Brother house - defeated a host of "stars" to claim first prize.
"Oh my God," she repeatedly squealed when her victory was announced. "I don't know what to do. I don't know what to say!"
The 22-year-old Paris Hilton look-a-like, originally a novelty addition, had been instructed to pretend she was a pop star.
She wiped away tears and hugged entertainer Michael Barrymore, who came a respectable second and may have rejuvenated his career after scandals and breakdowns.
Barrymore himself shed a few tears of his own when he left the house.
When told she had won by a landslide, Chantelle said: "I'm just like, wowsers."
She put her victory down to her "down to earth and easy going" nature.
And she insisted there was nothing going on with Preston, as he had also done earlier.
"I knew I liked Preston but I didn't know why it was until... I realised it was because I trusted him and to be able to trust someone in there is a really big thing."
She said she would like to see Preston again, but only if his girlfriend allowed it.
Chantelle said new-found fame would not change her: "I'll never change. I'm just little old me."
Host Davina McCall told the former promos girl that because she had entered the house as a non-celebrity she would receive £25,000 as a prize.
She responded with her catchphrase: "Oh my God!"
Six contestants remained for the big finale. Maggot came third, Preston fourth, Pete fifth and Traci sixth.
Of those who voted for the final two, 66.4% wanted Chantelle and 43.6% wanted Barrymore to be crowned the winner.
Overall, three million votes were cast by the public during the Celebrity Big Brother series, raising £480,000 for the 11 charities nominated by the contestants.
