Hollywood's most famous on-set joker has spilled the beans on a genius wheeze he'd cooked up to hoax the world's media.

According to Heat, Georgie had planned to hire some lookie-likies to con newshounds everywhere into thinking that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were tying the knot.

He said: "I called Brad and said we should let it leak out and hire kids dressed up, then let everybody rent helicopters and spend a fortune."

George, it's a splendid plan indeed.

George hasn't blown his cover like this in the past though, scoring big points for his elaborate pranks.

His best friend ended up with a hideous painting in his house for two years after George presented it as a gift he'd painted himself.

And poor old Julia Roberts opened the door to her hotel room only to have a bucket of water empty over her pretty showbiz head.

So, we'll certainly be on guard should any 'sudden news' break from the Clooney camp about Brad and Ange...
