Gary BarlowGary BarlowCould Elton John's wedding celebrations provide a venue for Take That's first gig since they reformed?

According to the Daily Mirror, Sir Elton and his partner David Furnish have spoken to Gary Barlow about a performance.

But it remains to be seen whether the former boybander will go it alone or get his old mates in on the act.

Gary said: "I don't know what I'm going to sing yet. I don't think I'm going to write something, I'll perform something from the back catalogue."

Apparently Elton left the organising to David and hoped he'd pick one of his songs, but his partner has asked for a Take That number instead.

Naughty EltonSir Elton JohnIt was announced last week that Take That were reforming for a tour next year.

Gary, 34, is taking his wife Dawn along to the star-studded 'hen night' but you can bet Robbie won't get an invite.

The cheeky one left Elton fuming because of comments in his book Feel and the rift hasn't been healed.

Elton hopes to tie the knot with David at Windsor register office - where Prince Charles and Camilla got married - on December 21.

He said: "We've been together for 12 years and we're able to do it, so why not? It gives us protection with each other, you know... If one of us dies it protects the other person."

After ending his bitter feud with the temperamental star, George Michael will be guest of honour for the celebrations but he's already in a spin over what to buy the happy couple.

He said: "Elton always knows what to buy me - that's what's so embarrassing. I never know what to buy him.

"I'm too embarrassed to try because he's got so much: what can you buy the man?"
