Desperate Housewives star Page Kennedy has been fired from the hit drama for improper conduct.
Page, who plays fugitive Caleb in the second series of the ABC show, was dropped after the studio conducted an investigation into allegations against him.
Publicist Janet Daily refused to divulge details.
However, it is understood that it did not involve another cast member.
Page had hoped the show would give him the opportunity of "making a name" for himself.
He claimed he turned down roles on US shows Barbershop, Pepper Dennis and Love, Inc. to star in the series.
When he was hired for the role, he said: "I needed this opportunity to play this kind of character."
"It isn't the kind that comes around often and it's usually played by a name.
"This is an opportunity for me to showcase all the years of training I've had."
Television bosses are currently recasting his position.
