Rumours of an off-screen romance have been flying ever since their first electric performance on the dancefloor.
But Camilla Dallerup and James Martin have denied there was any real-life chemistry between them - until now.
The Strictly Come Dancing duo have finally come clean about their relationship, admitting romance has blossomed and that they have been enjoying a series of secret trysts.
"Yes, we've been out to dinner a few times," confesses Ready Steady Cook chef James, 33, in the Daily Mirror.
"And we're on the phone all the time. Camilla blows my mind. I'm in awe of her. It's incredible, unbelievable.
"We're having a great time together and we get on extremely well. There's a brilliant rapport going on. You can't fake it on the dancefloor on Saturday night."
Camilla, a 31-year-old professional dancer, adds: "We have the basis of a great friendship and we'll see what happens.
"At the minute there's a lot of pressure with doing the show. But we're very close. You can't beat the feeling of two bodies moving as one. It's very emotional."
Meanwhile, things are not going well on the Saturday night BBC show for dance pair Anton Du Beke and Patsy Palmer.
They put on a show of affection for the Saturday night show, but off camera, ladies' man Anton said he "would cross the road to avoid her."
An insider said: "There's been a real clash of personality. Anton is struggling to be even be in the same room as Patsy - he finds her annoying and inconsistent."
