Bond Soon To Be Revealed

At some point today, all the waiting will be over and the next Bond will be revealed.

However, someone's mum has already spoken out...

Recently, there seems to have been little doubt that the sixth 007 will be Daniel Craig - although many are still holding out that Pierce will step into his tux one last time.

However, Daniel's mum, Carol Blond, let the cat out of the bag with a bit of premature news.

"We're thrilled to bits. This has come at a very good time in his career," she was reported as saying.

"He has worked hard all his life and this will be his most famous part. It will be life-changing, but I think he is old enough and experienced enough to handle it."

But Daniel's stepfather, Max Blond, is now retracting his wife's earlier comments.

"I'm really sorry, but we can't say anything. Daniel has asked us not to," he said. "What Carol said was that if Daniel was offered the role, we would obviously be thrilled to bits.

"She said he had worked hard in his career and that he deserved success, and that is true."

The recent rumours that Daniel, 37, had a brief fling with Sienna Miller - his mate Jude's former fiancee - will only enforce his suitability for the role.

It seems that, in the end, it came down to a battle between Daniel and a young whippersnapper, 22-year-old Henry Cavill, best known for non-leading roles in The Count Of Monte Cristo and I Capture The Castle.

Pierce Brosnan recently revealed that he was lined up for his fifth Bond movie, but that he was dropped in one "highly disappointing" phone call. It's thought pay was the deciding factor.
