Newly single starlet Keira Knightley has been explaining the secret of her screen success.
And she reckons it has nothing to do with talent or beauty - because she doesn't have a great deal of either.
Examining her path to fame, which has taken in world famous roles in Bend It Like Beckham and Pirates Of The Caribbean, the 20-year-old Middlesex girl claims she's nothing special and her break-through was all pure chance.
"It's about luck. I'm not the most talented around - and I'm not the most beautiful either," she tells Now magazine.
"I'm simply lucky to have been in movies that have worked. Their success hasn't really had much to do with the fact I was in them."
And, Jodie Marsh take note, Keira says she doesn't do the nightclub circuit to boost her profile either.
"I don't court attention, which is why I've never been to nightclubs like Chinawhite," she says.
"They're probably really cool places but I'd feel uncomfortable."
"I accept the paparazzi as part of being famous though - after all, this is a business about putting audiences into cinemas," she confesses. "It's like being in a cage at times - even if it is a gilded one."
Keira will be demonstrating her 'meagre skills and looks' next as Elizabeth Bennet, the lead in a new screen adaptation of Pride And Prejudice.
