Ocean's Twelve, the star-studded sequel to Ocean's Eleven, has taken a massive $40.9 million in its first three days.
The heist hit staring George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts, stole the top box office slot after premiering in the US on Friday.
It marks the fourth-biggest opening for a December release after the 'Lord of the Rings'.
The film stole the top slot from action-adventure 'National Treasure' which was at number one for three weekends.
Ocean's Twelve, which opens in the UK on February 4th, also stars Matt Damon Andy Garcia, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
"It's just a fun, good holiday movie," said Dan Feldman, president of distribution at the Time Warner, which made the film.
Ocean's Eleven made $184 million during its 2001 run.
