What are the installation options?
1.
Shared Dish
A shared dish is the hassle-free communal satellite system for blocks with fewer than 49 flats
and 3 storeys. You only need 4 flats in your block to sign up to Sky TV and you can enjoy all the
great benefits.
You will also have the ability to upgrade to Sky+HD, and take advantage of Multiroom - we simply
install one dish on your building for free (subject to survey) to supply Sky TV to everyone who
wants it. What's more, we'll contact your managing agent and get everything set up for you. Once
your flat is enabled we'll arrange an install date for your Sky+HD box.
Register your flat or find out if it’s already registered
here.
2.
Pre-wired system
Your building may be pre-wired with a satellite system installed. This means you can access
digital terrestrial TV, digital satellite TV and FM and DAB radio.
If your flat is pre-wired the options that are available to you will differ, depending on the
type of system installed. You'll be able to tell by the type of faceplate you have in your
home.
Dual satellite point connection: The Sky+HD box requires a dual satellite point connection - the
satellite point will protrude from your faceplate and have a threaded connection. If your faceplate
has two threaded satellite points (SAT & SAT2), you can get all the benefits of Sky+HD with
your HD Pack subscription.
If you want to register for Sky TV today or if you would like to find out more call us on

help.

If you are ordering Sky for a property in a block of six or more flats, you can choose to
call a Sky specialist or book a date/time slot (in hourly segments) for the Sky specialist to call
you.
If you are going to speak to the Sky specialist, details of your basket (items selected during
the ordering process, including subscriptions and hardware) will be emailed to you and the Sky
specialist so they can reference these during the call.
During the call, the Sky specialist will determine whether Sky can be installed in your
property. They will ask which floor of the block the property is on, and whether there is
permission to install a dish.
Please note:
Calls cost 5p per minute (plus a 6p connection fee) for BT customers. Charges from other
providers may vary. Information correct at 17 March 2008.

survey of your block. There will be a one-off cost for your Managing Agent for the bonding of the
Shared Dish equipment to an earth connection by a qualified electrician of their choice.
