  • Can I get Sky Broadband Everyday Lite in my area?

    If you have a BT-compatible phone line, enter your BT or Sky Talk telephone number on our Landline Checker.

    If you don't have a BT-compatible phone line (if, for example, you are currently using Virgin or another cable service), enter your postcode in our online Postcode Checker.

  • What if I can't get Sky Broadband Everyday Lite?

    You can still enjoy Sky Broadband outside of our network area with Sky Broadband Connect.

  • Can I get Broadband Everyday Lite without Sky TV?

    No, you must take Sky TV with Sky Broadband Everyday Lite. If you'd like Sky Broadband without Sky TV, then you can take Sky Broadband Unlimited for £10 a month (+ Sky Line Rental, £12.25 a month).

  • How long will it take for my line to go active?

    Once you have ordered Sky Broadband it will normally take up to 15 days for your broadband to go active. We'll send you a letter (or, if you have provided us with an email address, an email) to welcome you to Sky Broadband, followed by confirmation of your line activation date. Your Sky wireless N router will be delivered and you can get started.

  • How will the Sky Broadband usage policy affect me?

    The usage policy won't affect the vast majority of customers, who are already on the most suitable package for their usage needs. It also won't affect customers on Sky Broadband Unlimited. For those who do use more than their allowance, we will send you an email letting you know when you have gone over your allowance. If you go over your allowance twice within a six month period, we'll move you to the next package up which will give you a higher usage allowance and possibly faster speeds (dependent on line quality and location). However you use the internet, you can be sure that in Sky network areas, we don't ever slow our broadband speed down.

    Once you become a customer, we'll send the emails to your @sky.com address or the alternative email address you give us.

  • When will I get my router?

    Your router should arrive through the post 5 to 6 days before your broadband goes active. With it you’ll find a booklet which will take you through the install process step-by-step so you can install your Sky Broadband yourself at home.

  • Can I keep my existing number if I switch to Sky?

    If you are switching from a BT compatible line then you should be able to keep your number.
