Which devices is Sky Go available on?

How many devices can I register?

  • Sky Go lets you register up to 2 compatible devices and stream on both devices at the same time.

How often can I change my registered devices?

  • You can change one of your registered devices every month by following the steps below:

    1. Sign in to Sky Go, using your Sky iD and password

    2. Select the Settings button at the top of the screen

    3. Select the Manage Devices button on the left of the screen

    Any devices registered for Sky Go will now be listed. Free slots will automatically be filled when you attempt to stream Sky Go content on a device that hasn't been registered.

    If two devices are already registered, you will need to click Remove device before you can register a third device. You'll need to wait until the start of the next calendar month before you can make any further device registration changes. Alternatively, you can upgrate to Sky Go Extra.

    Note: The act of signing in to the Sky Go website is not enough on its own to cause the current device to be registered for Sky Go. Registration happens only after you've signed in and attempted to stream a programme. This means you can sign in and take a look around the Sky Go website from any device before registering your computer.

Where can I use Sky Go?

  • All you need is a Sky TV subscription, a Sky iD and a WiFi, broadband, 3G or 4G internet connection, and you can enjoy Sky Go at no extra cost, depending on your Sky TV subscription anywhere in the UK and Ireland.

Does Sky Go affect my monthly mobile tariff?

  • Watching Sky Go on your compatible mobile or tablet device through a 3G or 4G connection will use data. If you are concerned about exceeding the monthly data allowance set by your mobile network operator as part your contract, we recommend that you watch Sky Go through a WiFi connection.

Can I watch Sky TV with Sky Go on my Xbox 360 games console?

  • We’ve made some changes to Sky Go and how it’s used on compatible devices - including games consoles. From 29 July 2014, you’ll need to sign up to Sky Go Extra in order to watch TV from Sky on your Xbox 360 games console.

Sky Go does not permit the use of ‘rooted’ or ‘jail broken’ devices. Second screen display is also not permitted, for instance through the use of Air Play, Miracast, HDMI/TV-Out and Chromecast. Individual user experience of Sky Go is tracked through Conviva across iOS devices and the Android tablet app. The Sky Go advertising platform also tracks individual usage for the provision of serving advertisements.
