The sex-obsessed Captain John Hart returns to have his revenge on Captain Jack and the Torchwood team, leaving Cardiff in chaos in a cracking series finale.
There's little doubt that this rollercoaster-ride of a second series has surpassed even die-hard fans' expectations.
Protecting the world from aliens creeping through a rift in Wales' fair capital is no picnic and with one team member dead (still walking and talking, but undeniably dead), the others battling their own personal demons and tantalising crossover visits from members of the 'Whoniverse', there's been no let up for Captain Jack's band of merry alien hunters.
Buffy's James Masters returns to the hub as Captain John, causing explosions around Cardiff whilst taking Jack prisoner and sending him back in time for an overdue reunion. Left without their leader, the Torchwood team face a city flooded with Weevils and teetering on the brink of destruction. All is not as it seems though, as it turns out John isn't the mastermind behind the chaos.
To reveal any more would spoil this fantastic finale. Suffice to say that 'Exit Wounds' is an apt title for this heart-wrenching episode.
