Sky offers a huge variety of exciting channels, but our Sky box TV Guide makes it easy to plan your viewing and get the most out of Sky. You can view listings for every single programme on every single channel for the next seven days using Sky's TV Guide - just press tv guide on your Sky remote control to get started.
You'll see a screen offering lists for all Sky channels and a choice of genres - highlight the option you want, such as Movies, Sport or Documentaries, using the arrow keys and press select to see what's on.
Choose a programme and press select to start watching it. If it hasn't started yet, it will be placed in your personal planner - you can go back to watching anything you like, and a reminder will appear on your TV screen when your chosen programme's about to start.
- Can I set up a list of my favourite TV channels?
To create a list of your favourite channels, press services on your Sky remote control. Highlight Favourite Channels in the menu, using the up/down arrows, and press select.
You'll see a list of all the channels available - mark your chosen favourites by pressing the yellow button
Once you've created a favourites list, you can jump straight to these channels when you're watching TV - just press the blue button to scroll through your list and select to change channel.
To see what's showing on your favourite channels press tv guide followed by the blue button.
- How do I set a programme reminder from a trailer?
When the set reminder icon appear on the trailer press the green button on your Sky remote control.
- How do I set up my Sky Box to show a specific TV programme every week?
If you have a Sky digital box, press TV Guide on your Sky remote control, highlight the programme you want to watch and press the green button to set up Series Link. Then press the red button to set up autoview, which means your TV will automatically switch over to the programme when it's about to start. If you have a Sky+ or Sky+HD box you can choose to record the programme or receive a reminder to view.
- What is search and scan?
Search and scan lets you browse the channels without interrupting what you're currently watching. Just press select while watching any programme and use the arrow buttons to scroll through the listings. If you see another programme you want to watch, press select again to switch to that programme.
