You wait years for one Sarah Michelle Gellar to return to your TV and then two come along at the
same time. It will be a big treat for fans of the
Buffy The Vampire Slayer actress as Sky Living has picked up
Ringer, the highly anticipated thriller series from CBS in America, in which Gellar plays
twins.
For those who love hot, handsome, British acting talent, Ioan Gruffudd, he of
Hornblower and
The Fantastic Four, also stars.
Gellar plays Bridget, a recovering addict with a rather messy life who flees to New York having
become sole witness to a contract killing. Gellar also plays Siobhan, Bridget’s estranged identical
twin sister, with whom the fugitive takes refuge.
To Bridget, Siobhan’s life looks like nothing short of a dream, what with her untold riches and
super-hunky husband Andrew, played by Gruffudd. So, when Siobhan goes missing, Bridget makes a snap
decision to assume her identity. However, Bridget soon learns that her sister has a secret life,
which is just as unenviable as her own. It’s nothing short of a maze of intrigue and nail-biting
cliff-hangers.
