22 May 2012
Could Sky 3D be the hottest seat at Roland Garros this summer? It might seem that way thanks to
Eurosport. For the third year running, the channel will be broadcasting live in 3D from centre
court at the French Open, available for you to watch via Sky 3D.
From 28 May – 10 June, you could be virtually at the heart of the world’s premier clay court
tournament in amazing 3D for every slide, rally and flex of Rafael Nadal’s legendary
biceps.
The news follows Eurosport’s announcement that it will be showcasing its
extensive 3D coverage
of the London 2012 Olympics on Sky 3D. That means over 100 hours of 3D action from the
Games including the highly anticipated Men’s 100m final, as well as gymnastics, basketball,
swimming and canoeing. It promises to be the most comprehensive 3D coverage of the Olympics on
British television.
Watch out for a spectacular splash of summer sport on Sky 3D too, including football, rugby, and
cricket.
You can get Sky 3D free of charge if you have the Sky World package, the HD Pack and a 3D
TV.
And for the duration the Olympics, you’ll be able to enjoy Sky 3D with
a
subscription to the HD Pack alone; you’ll just need to buy your own 3D TV and connect it to
your 3D-ready Sky+HD box.
