3 February 2012
We’re planning something extra for our soon-to-launch, dedicated Formula 1™ channel, Sky Sports
F1™ HD. As well as capturing every F1™ race of the season live and full HD, we’ll be showing GP2
and GP3 series races live, too.
It’ll be your chance to see the future of F1™, as GP2 and GP3 series are considered to be a
breeding ground for future F1™ stars. It’s where budding drivers like Romain Grosjean, Heikki
Kovalainen and Bruno Senna, as well as former World Champion Lewis Hamilton, have come up through
the ranks. Furthermore, both series promise passionate, fresh and fascinating motor
racing.
In addition, you’ll be able to enjoy coverage, analysis and discussion of the races courtesy of
our weekly magazine show, hosted by presenters Ted Kravitz and Georgie Thompson.
We’ll be showing two meetings per weekend, comprising a feature race and a shorter sprint
fixture. The 2012 GP2 season consists of 12 rounds and takes in ten countries. It starts 23-25
March in Malaysia. GP3 season begins 12-13 May.
