1) Create a Sky iD by clicking 'Sign Up' in the top right hand corner.
2) Link your Sky iD to your Sky TV account (you’ll need your account number, viewing card number or the last six digits of the bank account number used to pay for Sky to do this).
3) Start watching via the the Sky Go website or download the Sky Go app.
Which devices is Sky Go available on?
For a complete list of devices go to the Sky Go products page.
How many devices can I register?
Sky Go lets you register up to 2 compatible devices, and stream on both devices at the same time.
How often can I change my registered devices?
You can change one of your registered devices every month by following the steps below.
1) Sign in to the Sky Go website, using your Sky iD and password.
2) Select the Settings button at the top of the screen.
3) Select Manage Devices button on the left of the screen.
Any devices registered for Sky Go will now be listed. Free slots will automatically be filled when you attempt to stream Sky Go content on a device that hasn't been registered.
If two devices are already registered, you will need to click ‘Remove device’ before you can register a third device. You'll need to wait until the start of the next calendar month before you can make any further device registration changes. Alternatively, you can upgrade to Sky Go Extra to download programmes to watch offline on up to four compatible devices.
Note: The act of signing in to the Sky Go website is not enough on its own to cause the current device to be registered for Sky Go. Registration happens only after you've signed in and attempted to stream a programme. This means you can sign in and take a look around the Sky Go website from any device before registering your computer.
Does Sky Go affect my monthly tariff?
Watching Sky Go on your mobile or tablet device through a 3G or 4G connection will use data. If you are concerned about exceeding the monthly data allowance set by your mobile network operator as part of your contract, we recommend you watch Sky Go through a Wi-Fi connection.
If you'd like to ensure you are only watching Sky Go using a Wi-Fi connection when using your iPhone or iPad, you can turn off your 3G or 4G connection by entering the ‘Settings’ menu, then selecting ‘General’ followed by ‘Network’.
Can I watch on rooted devices?
Unfortunately we are unable to support rooted devices as this breaches the contractual agreements we have with our content providers. Rooting your device can put you at considerable risk by invalidating your warranty and exposes your device to malware. We’d like to make you aware that using Sky Go on a rooted device also puts you at risk of exposing your Sky iD and personal information to 3rd parties.
