Finding your UAN
You will need your UAN (Universal Account Number) to be able to switch to Sky Broadband and Talk services. Your UAN is an 8-digit number that identifies your phone line.

Yes, Sky Broadband Lite is available with Sky Talk without having to take Sky TV.

How do I find my UAN?
Your UAN can usually be found on your current telephone bill.

How long will it take for my services to go active?
It should take between 1 to 2 weeks for your broadband and/or talk services to go active from the time your order is placed. The actual time will depend on whether we are transferring an existing service, providing you with a new service or if we have to activate your line. We will send you a welcome letter confirming when your service will be active by.

How much usage alowance will I be getting?
Sky Broadband Unlimited and Sky Connect Unlimited customers will have no usage limits. Sky Broadband Lite customers will have a usage limit of 2GB. Sky Connect Lite has a usage allowance of 10GB per month.

When will I get my Sky Hub?
We will send your Sky Hub after your order has been successfully processed. You should receive it before your broadband service goes active.

Can I keep my existing number if I switch to Sky?
Sky can help you keep your number if you are transferring your telephone service to Sky Talk.

How fast will my Sky Broadband be?
How fast your broadband will be depends on the network technology available in your location as well as how far you live from your local telephone exchange. As long as you can get Sky Broadband products, Sky will try to provide the fastest speed that the line can handle. Customers on Sky Connect products will get speeds up to 7Mbps.

Do I need to contact my current service provider?
If you are switching your services from anyone other than UPC, once you have placed your order with us (including giving us your UAN), we'll take care of the rest and will be in touch soon to complete your transfer.
If you are switching to Sky from UPC, once you have placed your order with us, we’ll take care of the rest and will be in touch. However, you will need to contact UPC directly in order to cancel your account with them.
