Haiti Earthquake

Haitian firemen extinguish a fire in a house at night in Port-au-Prince, January 22, 2010. More than 110,000 people were confirmed killed in the Haiti earthquake, the interior ministry said January 22, making it the deadliest quake on record in the Americas.

The United Nations' humanitarian aid chief admitted today that the world body had not been able to respond quickly enough to the Haiti earthquake.
