Remote Record

  • Stuck at the office or out with friends? You needn't miss out on that crucial episode or latest must-see movie. If you have a Sky+HD box and Sky+ subscription, Sky's Remote Record service lets you record your favourite programmes wherever you are, by going online or using your smartphone. What's more, if this programme is part of a series and you have a compatible Sky+HD box you can also set up a Series Link, ensuring you never need to miss an episode of your favourite show again!

    You'll need your Sky iD details to use Remote Record.

    • If you don't have a Sky iD, you can sign up for one.
    • If you're unsure of your details, you can use the Forgotten your username or password? links on the Sign In page

       

    Online Remote Record

    1. Online remote record from your laptopGo to sky.com/tvlistings to see our online TV Guide.
    2. Browse or search the listings to find the programme you want to record.
    3. Click the programme title and select Record.
    4. Sign in using your Sky iD when prompted.
    5. If the programme is part of a series, choose whether you want to only record one episode (Record Once) or set a Series Link (Record Series).


    You can make up to 10 online Remote Record requests per day.

         

    Via your smartphone or tablet

    1. Remote record using your tablet or mobileDownload the free Sky+ App from the Apple App store or Android Market.
    2. When you use the App, sign in using your Sky iD. This will link the app to your registered Sky+ or Sky+HD box.
    3. Browse the TV guide and, when you've found a show you want to record, press Record.
    4. If the programme is part of a series, choose whether you want to only record one episode (Record Once) or set a Series Link (Record Series).
     

    Your Sky+ HD box will record that programme when it airs, and you'll see it in your planner when you return home.
