Error message: “Sorry, it was not possible
to complete payment”

  • If you are seeing the error message “Sorry, it was not possible to complete payment. Please check your payment account details”, you should check your online Sky Go account details to see if your payment details are invalid or have expired. This can commonly occur if you pass the expiry date on the debit/credit card registered to your Sky Go account.

    How to update your payment details

     Sign into the Sky Go website with your Sky iD and password.

    Select Settings.

    Select Manage Your Payment Account - a new window will open.Note: Do not close the Sky Go website window, as you’ll need this page later on in the process.

    Select the Card Details tab from the menu.

    Update the card information section with your new card number and account details and select ok. Confirm the details if prompted.

    Return to the Sky Go website window.

    Select Settings and enter the Subscriptions menu.

    Select Renew or Subscribe next to the relevant subscription, then press OK to confirm.

    Sign into Sky on your Xbox 360 and check that you can buy and view content.
