You only need to download a small part of a programme before you can start watching it, and in
most cases you'll be watching within minutes.
The download speed of your chosen programme will depend on your line speed. If your line
speed is below 2Mbps, you may find it's more like a download experience and therefore you might
have to plan your viewing a little further ahead, perhaps queuing a few programmes up to download
overnight.
For a
90 minute standard definition Sky Anytime+
movie:
- The wait time to start viewing on a 3Mbps broadband line and above will be about 1
minute.
- The wait time to start viewing on a 2Mbps broadband line will be about two minutes.
- If you are viewing on a 1Mbps broadband line it may take the entire duration of the
movie to download and be ready to view.
Sky Broadband Connect customers may wish to treat Sky Anytime+ as a downloads service as it
may take longer before programmes are available to watch. You may also want to plan your Anytime+
viewing and set downloads in advance or outside of peak hours. Don’t forget, you can watch as many
programmes as you want instantly from the Showcase section of Anytime+.
