The 3D channel will be available to you at no additional charge if you have a Sky+HD box with an
HD subscription and the Sky World pack. Sky 3D is available on all Sky+HD boxes. If you cancel your
Sky TV subscription or if you stop taking any of the entertainment packs, Dual Movies, Dual Sports
or the HD Pack as part of your Sky subscription, you will no longer be eligible to receive the Sky
3D channel and access will be removed.
Don't forget - you must also have a 3D-ready TV. This will have a logo or label displayed
somewhere on the set itself telling you that it is 3D-ready. Another way to check is by tuning to
channel 217 - if you have activated Sky 3D and put your TV in 3D mode the images will appear
slightly blurred until you put your 3D glasses on. To ensure you get the most from your Sky 3D
experience, and as all TVs are different, please familiarise yourself with your TV user manual and
in particular pay special attention to how you switch your TV in/out of 3D and any relevant safety
notices. Sky 3D is not available on incompatible TV sets.
You will also require a pair of 3D glasses. Compared to ‘red and green’ glasses, which were
popular back in the 1980s when films like Jaws-3D were released, 3D glasses deliver a far superior
experience. There is no loss of colour, and the images are easier for your brain to process. Not
only that, but you'll be able to see the picture you see will be in full HD quality.
You need to activate the Sky 3D channel before you can watch it.
