Help & Support

I can see a picture on my 3D-ready TV but it's not 3D

  • You need to have a Sky+HD box with an HD subscription and the Sky World pack in order to view Sky 3D. You must also have a 3D-ready TV and a pair of 3D glasses.

If you have the right subscriptions and equipment but cannot see a Sky 3D picture on your TV, the correct picture format for the 3D TV might not have been selected, or you might need to adjust the settings of your 3D glasses to work with your TV.

Choose the model of your television set below to find out how to configure your 3D-ready TV to enjoy Sky 3D.

Unfortunately we cannot support the setup of Nvidia laptops and monitors or 3D projectors for Sky 3D. Please consult your retailer or the manufacturer of the equipment for support.

    • Set-up issues and tips for all TV models

      • 3D signals will not be automatically recognised by Sky+HD boxes. You need to manually switch the TV into a 3D mode when viewing Sky 3D channel.

      • You don't need a new cable (HDMI 1.4) to view the Sky 3D channel. The HDMI cable shipped with Sky+HD works with all 3D TVs currently in retail.

      • Make sure there is a clear line between your active 3D glasses and the 3D Sync Transmitter and no objects are blocking the infrared rays. The 3D Sync Transmitter is integrated on the TV depending on the TV model.

      • Your 3D glasses need to be at a distance of 1 to 6 metres from the TV to work. They will turn off automatically if they're out of signal range for 5 minutes.

      • Make sure there are no other infrared devices close to the 3D sync transmitter.

      • The 3D Sync Transmitter may not work in direct sunlight or fluorescent lighting (50/60Hz). If you think this may be the problem, try blocking the sunlight with curtains or blinds and turning the lights low in the room.
    • Configure your Sony Bravia 3D TV
