Call barring help

  • If you're being plagued by unwanted or nuisance calls, last caller barring allows you to stop the unwanted caller from ringing again.
     

    • To bar the last call you answered

      Dial 14258. You will be asked to press ** (press the star button twice) confirming that you wish to bar calls from that number.

      Callers who have had their call rejected will hear an announcement stating that their calls are not being accepted.

    • To bar other numbers at any time

      1. Dial 14258 and enter your PIN. The default PIN is 1234

      You will be given a choice from the following:

      • Adding a number to your list 
      • Reviewing your barred number list
      • Changing your PIN
    • Adding a number to your list

      • Make sure you include the area STD code before UK numbers.
      • Press # (the hash key) at the end of the number to tell Choose To Refuse that it is the end of the number.
    • Reviewing your barred number list

      • You can check your list at any time.
      • Choose To Refuse will tell you the number and the date that it was barred.
      • Select this option if you want to delete a number from your list.
    • Changing your PIN

      • Obvious PINs such as 1234, or ones that are obvious patterns on your keypad like 2580, aren't allowed.
