    • What does the price freeze mean for me?

At Sky, we appreciate things are tough right now, the cost of living is continuing to increase and your household bills may be going up. As a result, we’d like to give our customers peace of mind by freezing your current Sky subscription until 31st August 2012. You should have received a personalised notification letter about this already, by post, email or in the July issue of your Sky Magazine. The notification explains the price freeze, the changes to our basic Packs and when the changes took place.

    • Why is Sky changing the TV Packs?

We’ve been listening to what our customers have to say, and as a result have made our TV Packs a lot more straightforward. We have simplified our basic channels into two pack options: Sky Entertainment and Sky Entertainment Extra. Many customers are already on these Packs and will continue to enjoy a great line up of our best content, otherwise you will be moving to the nearest Pack. Don’t worry; you can be assured that you will still be able to enjoy all the great content that you do now, including top channels that you may not have received previously. If customers are being moved to Sky Entertainment Extra, they can enjoy channels such as Discovery, Disney, ESPN Classic and our latest channel; Sky Atlantic, plus lots more for no extra cost. And remember, the changes we are making to our basic Packs do not impact our Sky premium channels. So if you currently have Sky Movies or Sky Sports, these will remain the same.

    • What are the new TV Packs?

There are simply two new Packs, Sky  Entertainment and Sky  Entertainment Extra. If you would like further information about which channels will be available in your Pack, please see "Introducing our brand new Sky TV Packs" in our Enjoy More page. Please note that if you are thinking about upgrading to any of our Sky premium channels, you may also want to see the new pricing for our Movies Pack or Sports Pack, which can be found in the "Our premium channel prices" section.

    • How do I know which Pack I moved to?

To find out which of the new Packs you moved to, please see the notification letter or email that you were sent recently. This tells you which of the new Packs you moved to on the 1st of September. Don’t worry; you don’t need to do anything as this change happened automatically.

    • I just got Sky on a 12-month contract does this price freeze apply to me?

If you joined Sky on or before 31st August, your current Sky subscription will stay the same for at least the next 12 months. Price freeze excludes any offers, call rates, administrative changes, VAT changes and if you change your package.

    • What extra benefits are you adding to my service that I am eligible for?

    • Will my Sky Broadband and Sky Talk be going up?

We have decided to keep our award-winning Sky Broadband Unlimited at exactly the same price - from £7.50 a month and you can still continue to enjoy our Sky Broadband Everyday Lite package for free providing you live in a Sky Network area.

For those customers with Sky Line Rental, we will be making a small increase of £1 a month to £12.25. That’s still cheaper than BT’s standard monthly price of £13.90. Please note that as your statement is available 14 days before your payment is due, your new subscription price of £12.25 a month will appear from the 22nd of June onwards.

For future reference, you will be notified separately about any changes to Sky Broadband and Sky Talk pricing.

    • Why am I seeing the name of my old TV Pack on my bill?

As of the 1st September 2011, we’ve grouped all our channels into two new packs; Sky Entertainment or Sky Entertainment Extra. Don’t worry, the channels you receive haven’t been affected and you may have even received some extra channels for no additional cost.

Some customers may see the name of their old package on their latest bill. If that is the case, we're in the process of updating your new Pack details on your bill to reflect this change. You don’t need to do anything as this update will happen automatically.
