Help & Support

Thinking of leaving?

  • We’re sorry to hear you're thinking of leaving. Please choose one of the options below that best describes your reasons for wanting to leave and we'll do what we can to help you.

    • My Sky account isn't good value for money

Sky TV customers in our network areas can enjoy free broadband* when they take up Sky Talk and Line Rental with us, which can save them money on their total monthly bills.

There are also lots of ways you can get more from your current Sky TV package, whether it’s watching what you want where you want with Sky Go and Sky Anytime+ (when you take Broadband) or using our Never Miss alerts and Remote Record services so that you won’t ever miss your favourite shows. Take a look at the Make the Most of Your Sky website for more details

Perhaps a different Sky package would suit your requirements or budget better? If you would like to talk to an advisor about the best package for you, please get in touch by calling 08442 410 266 (UK) or 0818 719 819 (Republic of Ireland). We also offer all Sky TV customers in our network areas free broadband when they take up Sky Talk and Line Rental with us so you could also save money on your overall household bills by switching your telephone and internet services to Sky.

    • I'm moving home

If you are moving and would like to enjoy Sky in your new home you don’t need to cancel your current Sky account. Our dedicated Home Move team will switch your Sky over to your new home and we will even arrange an engineer to come out and set up your services in your new home for free as part of our Standard Home Move Service.

Plus, if you joined Sky before 31 August 2011, you will still benefit from the fact our subscription prices will not change until 31 August 2012. You could also save money by moving your Broadband and Talk services over to Sky during your Home Move and getting our free Broadband in our network areas.

To find out more about taking Sky with you to your new home, just call us on 08442 411899 (UK) and 0818 71 98 93 (Republic of Ireland) or visit sky.com/movinghome and one of our Home Move team will help you.

    • I'm having problems paying for my Sky account

You can change your payment date to a day that suits you.

You can make it easier to manage your bills by choosing the most convenient day of the month to pay your regular bill, and making one-off card payments at any time in the month to reduce the amount of your next bill.

Switching to Direct Debit will save you money and help you make sure you don’t miss any payments. You can change your payment arrangements at any time using the My Sky website or using Sky Active on your TV (press Services on your Sky remote control to get started).

Or, if your monthly bill is too high, we could switch you on to a different package? Just call 08442 410 266 (UK) or 0818 719 819 (Republic of Ireland) to talk to one of the team about the best package for you.

    • I want to leave. Please help me close my account

As long as you're outside the minimum term of your subscription and you give us 31 days' notice, this is a simple process. You will need to contact Sky on 08442 410 266 (UK) or 0818 719 819 (Republic of Ireland) and tell us that you wish to leave and we will arrange to close your billing account and access to Sky products and services.

Your account must remain debt-free during the cancellation period, and once the account has been closed we will send you confirmation of this in the post. Please do not cancel your Direct Debit before cancelling your Sky account with us as you may end up breaking your contract and have debt remaining on your account.

If you are closing a Sky Broadband account and moving to another non-cable provider, remember to ask us for a MAC code, this will ensure that moving your service to another provider involves minimal disruption to your service.
