How to change your TV PIN

  • Quicktip: If you've forgotten your PIN you can  change it online

Your PIN (personal identification number) allows you to:

    • Manage your account securely using your remote control.
    • Access Sky Box Office and control the use of paid for services.
    • Use parental control to make sure your family are viewing suitable programmes.

When your box is installed, with its first viewing card, the original PIN is the last four digits of your Sky viewing card number. If you change your viewing card, your PIN does not change. We recommend you change your Sky PIN to a number you'll remember straight away, so that nobody can access your account or spend money without your permission.

If you enter the PIN incorrectly three times in a row, you'll receive an error message and your PIN will be temporarily blocked. You'll not be able to access anything that needs a PIN for 10 minutes.

You can change or retrieve your PIN using your Sky remote* or online:

    1. Go to our Change TV PIN page (link below).
    2. Sign in with your Sky iD.
    3. If you've more than one box, select the viewing card number for the box you wish to change.
    4. Enter a new four digit PIN in the two boxes and select Change your TV PIN.
    5. Select confirm to reset your PIN.
    6. You'll be sent an email confirming the change you've made.

*To change your PIN using your TV, press Services on your Sky remote and choose "Parental" or "Parental Control," enter your existing PIN when prompted and then the new one you wish to use or online. Please note, your Sky box must be connected to a working phone line for this procedure to work.
